Garden Cocktail Party
Garden, airy and effortless are some of my all time favourite styles. It was such an honour to style this afternoon cocktail hour featuring a lovely array of local vendors, all listed below!
Some of Elle’s tips for throwing a garden cocktail party!
— Dainty details! In my opinion, every phenomenal event is brought together from lots of independent small details, carried out cohesively and elegantly! The more areas of detailed depth the better, they all contribute more than you think to the guests overall experience!
— Choose a theme! Having a theme is a helpful starting point and is great to direct the vision of your decor if you're needing inspiration! We focused on this garden event being a "cocktail party" and it helped me know which direction to go for signage, decor etc!
— Elegant glassware! Every party needs festive glassware, I'd recommend champagne coupe glasses or different coloured wine glasses! My favourite place to go for glassware rentals is Host Collection, you’ll see their pretty glasses featured below!
— Some kind of purposeful photo spot/backdrop!
— Passed canapés! Nothing feels more festive than someone walking around with trays of little treats! Even if you are hosting your own small event at home, choose 2-3 appetizers and place them on different trays and bring them around to your guests!
— A tasseled umbrella OR personal paper parasols, I’m in love with our new paper parasols in our rental collection! Check them out here!
— Signage!
— Pre-poured drinks upon arrival!
— Fresh florals! You really can't have a garden party without them! My favourite way to style my floral arrangements as of late is to simply plunk the vase into a rattan or wicker basket, making the arrangement look immediately more casual and effortless!
