Mia and Andrew

This intimate family wedding took place on Pender Island, a precious island that the bride has called home since early childhood. Surrounded by their family, trees, and the ocean, this couple celebrated their day in a natural, simple and elegant way. Honouring what is most important to them.

The reception was a full three course harvest meal. The type of dinner where all guests lingered in their seat for hours past dinner, sipping on wine, then tea, then wine again. I wanted the tablescape to reflect just that. Full, textured, warm, natural, inviting. I brought elements of the change of season into fall right onto the table with lots of wild greenery, winter fruits and herbs. I loaded the centre piece with candles and tea pots to encourage guests to sit around and get cosy. We talked and toasted late into the night and it was such a special time.
